my lizard is constantly digging which shes never done is it cause she want to lays eggs or does she want to dig if so how can i improve her digging i have an inch of calsi sand on floor

first.. calcisand is bad.. move her off that and if you must use sand you can used childrens playsand, you can get it at the home depot, look for silica free. how old is your dragon?? what is your set up like.. size etc

It is possible. My female went nuts about 3 weeks ago franticly digging, and scratching at the walls. The week before that I thought she was going to brumate. She seemed very tired, and off food, and the next week full of energy. I took that as a sign to prepare a digging bin and she did, that night she dropped 11 infertile eggs. She's not a breeder just a pet so not mated. Check out www.dachiu.com they show, and give some instructions on preparing the egg laying site. Some breeders, like I did take the female out of the cage and put them in a large rubbermade with a soil and sand mixture. Moisten the dirt and angle it up in one corner. Attach a clamp light on the side of the bin pointed towards the mound. Seems like they wait for the soil to heat up a bit before laying. I did start a hole for my female and that was where she chose to deposit the eggs. If it's not eggs this activity can be caused by improper temps. Double check that first.
