Help! Eye Problem

xcardona Aug 19, 2008 10:41 AM

My leopard gecko has been having a problem with shedding around its eyes. He shed a couple of weeks ago, and he rarely opened his eyes, but when he did they were milky looking. I tried using some of the turtle eye drops that they sell at petco, and that helped a little on one eye, but then he shed again a few days ago and now the one eye that had started to look better is back to the same and the other is completely sealed up and covered with a layer of skin. What should I do?

I had a similar problem with an anole I actually very carefully pealed the skin off of its face and eyes, it was fine after that, if you need to use tweezers go ahead. As far as the milkiness of the eyes goes that isn't good and I would say take it to the vet before it gets worse.
