when do most people cut the eggs? and why do they cut the eggs?

But I am cutting open my clutch thats cookin at day 55, becuase I am impatient and think its fun...LOL

I think there is no dead set day, everyone probably does it differently, or they don't do it at all...same with the reason, everybody is got thier own reasons for doing it, I personally think its fun, it doesn't hurt if done properly and carefully, its like opening a christmas present on christmas eve instead of christmas day...

Like I said, I am planning on cutting mine open on day 55, just to see what I have...

I think any day after day 55 is ok, but I normally wait till they pip on their own, because I love to look in the incubater and see their little noses poking out of the eggs. Sometimes if it is taking them a long time to pip or if I see scratches on the egg for a day or two I'll put a very small cut in the egg just to help them out! GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR EGGS!!! I think 90% of the people cut their eggs because they are impatient. I give my eggs 2 days after i see the first slit and only then will i SLIT them if need be (normally they all slit on their own). While most will say that cutting the top of the egg off at day 55 is ok, i can`t believe it doesn`t stress the **** of the baby.

I cut mine after the first one "pips"! If they go over 60 days, I'll recheck my day count, then cut them! Someone said it, people who cut early, are just impatient!
