Eggbound?

SenorSnake Aug 19, 2008 09:35 PM

Does anyone know the symptoms of a boa that is eggbound? Can you tell by feeling?

Thanks.

They dont lay eggs, they are live bearers ....

I meant unfertilized ova, slugs when I said eggs.

I don't know, but a vet visit is probably in order.
Either x-ray or ultasound may be required.
I'd probably handle the snake to give it a work out.
Restrain slightly to encourage isotonic exercise and exertion.
Palpate. Then soak in warm water (88F) for about a day.
Do not let the water get too cold.
See what happens.
