Due to a medical emergency, my family and I were forced to stay at home in SW Louisiana while Rita pounded us in September 2005. The eyewall passed only a few miles from our houses and our town took some major tornado damage. It was quite an adventure. Take care, everyone. Thanks. I'm in Orlando and we just got lots of rain and some wind. Nothing major. But other areas are getting it. Luckily, it stay a Tropical Storm. Hopefully, it won't go out to sea and strengthen and then come back. If all goes well, it will be well away from Daytona by the weekend.
