Male Breeders

I know that most breeder breed a male to 4-6 females. Do you breed them all in the a few months, assuming that the male maintains good condition, or do you let the male breed with one for a few weeks then give him a month or so to feed back up then breed with another, and so on?

rotate him thru several females at once.

put him with female #1 for 2 days
female #2 for 2 days
1 day off
female #3 for 2 days
female #4 for 2 days
1 day off- feed
female #1 ...

etc... thru breeding season-- until the female ovulates- then he isn't needed with that female, and you can either give him those days off or squeeze the others together....

Some people breed their males way to much!! I normally take my males and put them with a female for two to three days and then four days off. Then rotate your females with him every week. By the time they start to ovulate you will breed about four to five females with one male. Give him a good rest between females so you don't stress him out or he could end up getting a respitory infection due to stress, I've had it happen before with my male pastel. So I learned not to over breed like some people try to do because some people think of money before the snake!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!! THANKS, BOB

one cage with female for a couple days......moved to next cage for a few days.....I just mix them all up...I use 3 albino 3 pastel males.....the spider is all alone....he did like 6 or 7 females?........they will breed at least every few days ...it takes 9 hours to breed a female usually........soooo......

I let males breed females over and over again for months......

.....they'll be fine.......they sometimes eat through all of this.......and some don't touch food for months....

a few males ate the whole time they were breeding and stop as soon as you stop giving them females......like they are mad and throwing a fit...it happened more than twice here now....and for a friend....

.......of course I am talking adult males..not 7 month old 450 gram males......

I like to put a male with a female for a couple days. If he breeds her i give him a few days off to rebuild his sperm count(and to eat if he is still feeding). If he doesn`t breed her he goes straight in with another female for a couple days.
