I think the little critter cages they sell at petco of all sizes would be perfect for you. They are crystal clear and made of plastic, are relatively cheap and at their biggest size could probably do a adult.
are u talking about these?

Actually, I went to the dollar tree and bought some clips and i put 4 clips on the sides so that they can not escape. Just incase. They are the kind that you put on a stack of papers at the top and they are so neat.
I had a wild caught adult Texas Rat Snake escape from a temporary home in a critter keeper. I think that it worked open the lid at the top. But not through the lip area. I will never again use them for snakes. I lived with that animal loose in my home for over three weeks until I found him in the washer.
I think what you are looking for are the polycarbonate plastic shoe boxes made by first philips. I don't know where you can find these boxes, I hear they are very hard to find. I know that the Boaphile, Jeff Ronne, uses them in his shoe box racks. Maybe you can write to him and find out who he gets his from.

This is the brand that you often see in pics from the pro. breeders.
order xtra lids , they brake in shipping and they don't replace them. You have to order thier minnimum and pay shipping all over agian.
I lost lids on my order of two weeks ago and just got the replacement ones yesterday. I didn't pay anything for them. I filed the UPS claim and they contacted me when it was approved and shipped them right away.
I live in Salem now but grew up in Leominster until I was 22. Leominster is known as the 'plastic capital' of the world (hehe, not what I would consider an honor, LOL). I'll have to check them out. I get out there a couple of times a month so I'll see if I can find some info. I was actually just there yesterday to bring my daughter to her grandparents for the weekend. Also, Sterilite is two towns over in Townsend, Ma. Any idea what their minimum order is? I wonder if this minimum order also stand for orders to pick up? I'll check them out and let you know. Take care, Scott.

I have seen the ones you are looking for.... except I have seen them on websites of companies that make professional food storage containers (companies that sell direct to restaurants and stuff). If I remember correctly, I took one look at the prices of them and about died at how expensive they were. Not to discourage you, b/c maybe there is somewhere else you can get them cheaper. Although, I think those type of containers' primary purpose/function is for food storage. Hence, why they are so clear...so you can see if food is going bad.
I hate the ones that are sold in walmart but i use them for smaller snakes and for feeding. The corns I keep in 20 gallons only come out at night/nocturnal anyway so I don't even think it would matter if the glass was clear or whitish/clear anyway.

. . .can only be ordered directly from the distributor now that The Container Store dropped this line a couple of years ago. If anyone needs the phone number, write to me.
