A few more days was right...

cn013 Aug 21, 2008 07:34 PM

The other night I sliced into a hondo egg laid on 5/18 and that was incubated in my snake room with a temp range of 78-82 degrees. Well when I did I found a snake that was close but needed a bit more time... thought to myself huh just a few more days would've been wise. Kicked myself around about for not being patient but all that was erased when not too long ago I found a new head poking out... This was a het to het 'European line' breeding. The parents originally from Japp Kooij... I can't wait for the hypo to finish crawling out!

Figured I'd toss in some other quick shots now that some have shed out... Sorry for the bad pic of the scarlets but man did they dart off seconds after the shot!

The Calverts are just beginning to shed.... really wanna see the 'hypos' more than I can express. The clutchmates in the middle pic just hatched... The last are shedding out and already hinting at the potential 'sulfurish' hue of their sire. Sorry again for the pics.... just tossed these up...

Thanks,
Chris

Hi,

nice snakes. What's the story behind the calvert hypos? I just thought there are Maryland hypos out there?

Hi Gerrit!,....

I'm not sure exactly which county the hypos originated from, but both Calvert County, and St. Mary's County are both in Maryland.

Good luck with all your projects!

Looks like your have a outstanding year Chris. Love the white heads on those hondos.Post more pics please Chris. Those scarlets are from the WC gravid? The Calvert MDs are bright too.I like the normal one in the back right. What length are all these babies? My gentilis clutch were 7 - 9 inches out of the egg and another clutch I have from Anderson Co KS are about 6-7 inches.I have to post some post shed pics soon.
