Hey Johne! Where did ya get KONG from! If Eve is right... PS need more vent pics over here

CollardGuy Sep 04, 2003 06:55 PM

And he is too old, than wherever you got Kong, we know all the lizards there are his offspring, because we KNOW he was the only male to mate around That part of the West. A scar tells a thousand war stories.

Also, Ive been looking at my lizards vents, (I'm a pervert, I know.) And "She" has two black spots on each side coming from the base of its legs towards its vent. I looked at the scales a while ago, but I think it was a pretty close call, and I am not sure which vents are which anymore. (I told you people we shoulda put them on the Collared Lizard Forum homepage and we woulda have been done with it.) It is also turning very green, with a little blue on the legs it the sun is in the right position. Under its throat is white, which I hear is a characteristic of young lizards. If it is a he, I feel really bad for him, going through copulation with Godzilla and all. LMAO

I'm serious. Anybody else serious? I am. ... Seriously, though, I'm having a rough time sexing my lizard. 6 months and counting now... It keeps changing! Like frogs! Are the black marks indicators in C. Collaris? I think I know they are in another species of collared.

what seems like a thick large white row of scales under vent? Thats a male. If no obvious thick row of white scales and just two black dots on either side it is female. I have some females who do not have the dots, but also do not have the large row of scales. and thats my final SERIOUS answer ! LOL Eve
