Those are some good looking babies! Did you think they'd all be hypo? That female almost looks like an amel, but I'd need to see a close-up of her eye. Another possibility is that your male is a normal stripe, not a hypo stripe. Sometimes normal stripes can be quite light. At any rate, those are some sharp looking offspring.

well, i was hoping for at least a few hypo stripes. the mom for sure is not an amel.... I just put her pics on there to show how light colored she is. When i first got her she had a little black and as she got older her black borders on her saddles disappeared. As for the father, i'm pretty sure hes a hypo stripe. he's been light ever since he was a baby. Either mom is a hypo looking normal or shes a different type of hypo, but she did throw some hypo babies last year... they just take a few extra sheds before you can see the brown belly checkers as opposed to the black belly checkers.

I bet momma's hypo trait and the father's hypo trait are not the same. So your babies are double-het is my guess. Or as suggested the dad is not a hypo. Mom is too light to be normal I would guess.

I would breed her to a different hypo.

Last year i bred her to a het hypo, amel, anery and got VERY few hypos and 2 anerys. her first clutch this year was to my male (henry) to see if he was het hypo and anery. i got classics, motleys, amels, and hypos and of course a combo or 2. so its weird.. i dunno...
i'm keeping the stripes to see how they mature and 1 normal sibling (has twig and berries head pattern) maybe keep a male too....

Hey Kin - I have not read what everyone else has writte, but here is what I think. Do not count that female out as hypo. Remember that it is a numbers game. Was the male het hypo? If so, there is a chance that you just didn't get a hypo in this clutch. Breed her again. I have had instances where I did not get a specific gene in one whole clutch, but then got one in another.

the male was sold as a hypo stripe.... was actually sold to a very popular corn snake breeder, but backed out so i bought it.. he was possible het for amel and anery... proved anery this year... but only 1 anery... out of 9 eggs... i'll find out for sure next year

Nice stuff!. That mother sure looks VERY hypo!. I wonder if the odds just weren't in your favor(not too uncommon), or it is a different incompatible type of hypo.....from maybe a "sunkissed"(type B) parent?

yeah.... i kinda assumed she was hypo.... i bought her from a pretty large snake breeder known name from around here who only does w/c critters now... he had a male too, but at the time both looked normal so i just go the female.
