Trap Boxes

Does anyone know who makes trap(hide boxes)boxes?

There are many different types of trap boxes - some are internally mounted inside the cage, some are mounted outside the cage and the snake goes through an opening that can be kept closed or open depending on the activity. Some trap boxes are portable whereby they function as a hide box but can also be manually closed by a special door on the hide box (with a hook). If you are looking for a real nice commercial product I would recommend Habitat Systems, Ltd. They make great trap boxes.

Thanks very much.I've kept venomous snakes about 10 years ago but everything I kept was either small or mellow. Now I'm going to try Albino Atrox because it's the only thing I can legally keep in CA.Plus I love the way they look.I've caught several out here in the wild and know they can be a handfull.

They look good.I guess the top stays open in the cage or is there a side entrance? Where do you get these from?

actually, I use them as a hide box. When I want to look at the animal or clean the cage I just slide and lock the door and I am good to go.

Thats great.Where do I get them?

they tell you everything else, but where to get them.

I got one made locally by a guy who did woodworking, he made small wooden toys, wagons, dolls etc.

I gave him a basic diagram, with dimensions, and for around $20 (i think, it's been a long time) he turned out some really nice shift/hide/trap boxes for me.

If you can't do the work yourself, this is the type of person I would seek out.

good luck,

Steve

Precision caging makes them I believe. Just contact them they are just like that black one. They make them in white also.
