My Dragon Ate A Lot Today

Paradon Aug 24, 2008 09:53 PM

Today, my beardie just ate a whole plate of salad and 70 large crickets! Wow! He is growing fast. Just a few days ago he was eating 15-25 large crickets a day and some salad, not the whole plate, but today he ate more than usual. I can't believe my baby is growing up so fast!

Thats funny because my dragon is about 5 months old and today he set a record for the most he has ever ate in one sitting, it was crazy.

I was super pissed!
its Sat, I run out of crickets, My new load arrive Tuesday.
2 DAYS???
So I go and Buy 10 dozen, figureing 50-60 a day will be fine for those 2 days.
Well I put her in her feeding cage, and the first 50-60 were done within 3 min.
CRAP! So I gave her the other 5 dozen!
10 Dozen 1 day her Greens! WOW!!! When I bought them by the dozen, that was an expensive day, I went back and limited her feedings to 3 dozen, twice that day, and back to her, MUCH AS SHE wants in a time, the next day(2-3 feedings)

Some days she eats 10-20, some days 20-30, some days DOUBLE...

I love watching them grow!
3 more inches and shell be 16" And I can say BAHUMBUG to crix again!

Yeah, a plate full of salad and 70 large crickets is the record he eats in one sitting. Considering he's not yet fully grown, that's a lot. Unfortunately, after that big meal, he didn't eat the next day, but today as soon as I put in the salad, he went right for it. Something I have never witness before. He usually wait awhile before eating his salad, but today he went right for it. I guess he has digested all those foods he had two days earlier. LOL!
