LOL!!,....yes,.I have to admit, I had a pretty good hangover from Saturday night, like many other's also did!..hahaha!
I wish I took more pics while I was there, but I was just too busy walking around looking at stuff and chatting to friends.
Here's a pic I took of the overall show when I first got there Saturday afternoon.
~Doug

A pic of some friends tables I was "hangin' out" with while there. I was happy to also see MANY of the other forum friends that were there as well!,......it was a real blast!

In the first pic, is that all the vendors? ...tell me there is a another hall full of vendors.
Is the Daytona show declining?
I believe the show in California is bigger than what you have pictured there?
Thanks
Kerby...

Kerby,
You can't take a picture of the size of the whole show. It just does not fit. There are side rooms and an upstairs as well.
Here is a pic of one hour before opening on SUNDAY. ..which was no where near as crowded as sat. People were lned up just to get in.

You know - Rana draytonii use to be Rana aurora draytonii because they look extremely similar to Rana aurora (what use to be Rana aurora aurora) it turns out that Rana aurora is closer to Rana cascadae than it is to Rana draytonii.
FUNKYRES
Yeah,....it's sort of a "rat-maze" compared to the layout of the ol' Orlando Expo, where you'd walk into big individual rooms at ground level....but it was a great time regardless of any of that for sure!,..........I seem to recall all those "mugs" you posted..LOL!
I just can't imagine Tom Stevens with a beer in his hands though!..hahahahha!!
Good seein' all you guys!

Of course there are more vendors. You can't see them all in one pic. The vendors tables were all sold out and wayne squeezes in as many as he can in every side room and corner that he can.
You really need to come one year.

Yeah, the one in Florida looks pretty weak compared to the one out here in CA. I think these guys have way over hyped it.
I have talked to people who have been to both and the Daytona show is way bigger.
I hear the Tinley pak IRBA show is coming closer along but the Calif show does not compare.

Yeah, all you folks ought to come to the Tinley Park show for those of us in the Midwest who have been unable to attend the Daytona show in a while. We tried to make it this year, but just couldn't do it. Perhaps next year though. Haven't been there since 2003. Tinley Park however is only a couple hours away. I spend the whole weekend there with my boys. I get to see some vendors there that I have known for almost 20 years. A good time is definitely had by all. Especially at the Sat. night Auction. It gets wild and is adult content. Hope to see some of you guys there.
Take care,
Jeff Port
If my luck holds on and eggs keeping hatching over here I may make it this time. Do you have any idea how expensive the hotel is that most vendors stay at?
Tom Stevens

Tom,
Let me check on that. I will get back to you.

Tom,
Just checked. Looks like around $100. Although there are several hotels within a short distance of the show. I know a friend who stayed at one across the street and he paid less than $100. If you would like me to check further, just drop me a line. Would love to meet you in person and check out your offerings.
Take care,
Jeff Port

My Mother-in-law has the same thing...she calls it a blouse..LOL..just kidding Rainer, it takes a "mans" man to pull off wearing something like that in public. (rolling eyes) LMAO

I've never seen Thomas Davis before - though now I think I have, because I remember someone who looks like that at one of the Sacramento Shows.
Then again - in the SFBA, that look isn't too uncommon - it's what I refer to as the "old school mainframe Unix geek look" - as a lot of the programmers my Dad worked with (including my dad) had/have that look
