Thomas look what hatched.......

RandyWhittington Aug 26, 2008 06:31 PM

out of the last egg in the clutch. I took the pic with a very low flash to try and show it's color as accuratly as possible. You can't tell from the pic but it's eyes are very red. I'll take some better shots later.

Thanks Doug and it was good to meet you too. Have you seen any more catfish swimming through your front yard since you got back? lol

Randy,....luckily everything in my immediate area is totally back to normal, but others in different mainland areas very near here are still TOTALLY flooded out of house and home.....I'm so darn glad that catfish swimming by my porch was extremely temporary!..hahaha!

Again!,..KILLER extreme tricolor!

Those parents are really matched made in heaven. If I were you, I'd mate them again next season. Great job !

Very nice, Randy. Last but certainly not least. Nice extreme tri-color you've got there. What were the parents?

Are you going to stop by the Raleigh show Saturday? I'll have some stuff on Dennis's table. Hope to see you there.

Thanks Jon. I'm selling it and it's sold.
I don't see your post you were talking about? It was good to see you again this year at the big show. How was your herping after the show?

It was an adventure! Got the convertable stuck on a powder sand road .. had to walk 6 miles in a storm to get help. Saw a black bear and a bob cat. Thankfully I didn't see a panther!

Herpwise - One snake got away on me, 2 DORs .. but I found a bunch of frogs/toads which I hadn't seen before as well as 2 gopher tortises which were really cool.

It was more of a learning than herping experience!

That's cool that you saw a black bear and a bobcat plus I've never seen a wild tortise. I've gotten too lazy to do that kind of thing but that is the kind of adventure you never forget. I'm jealous. A few of us herped around the hotel late sunday night and saw about 25 tree frogs of some kind, a cuban tree frog and several anoles. Urban herping. lol

I did some urban herping too on my first day! (Photographing brown anoles across from the expo.)
