I heard today that, unlike the gene that controls the color of a pastel, the spots on a pastel are a "weak" gene and they will not effect the look of any off-spring from breeding.
So if you have a heavily spotted/alien faced pastel and breed to a spider (for-instance) the spider and bumble bee offspring will not be heavily spotted from the pastel. Is this true, and is this only true when breeding pastels to spiders or all BP's?
