Super Crystals and Crystal Photos...

Python Dreams Aug 26, 2008 09:45 PM

Here are some updated photos of the Super Crystal and the Pastel Super Crystal who have both shed for the second time and are both males approaching 200 grams. The yellow did not really come through on the photos of the Pastel Super Crystal, but he has a yellow tint similar to the orange on the Super Crystal...
I also added adult photos of a Crystal female and a Pastel Crystal male that were taken today!
Let me know what you think,
Tom Baker

Tosha,
These would be "Super Special" Mojaves... I missed on the Super Mojave "Special', but I would guess that to be a pure white snake!

bristen Aug 27, 2008 11:08 AM

Just wondering.. the "Super Crystal" name is short and sweet, but a tad confusing... I think the issue is that the "Special" doesn't have a name...?

anyways, great looking animals.. the Crystal project is a great project... makes it even more interesting that it just fell on your head like that LOL!!

Thanks for sharing,
Bristen.

What where the parents on these again? Maybe these are the homozygous specials. I didn't think the possibility of mojave and special being alleles had been eliminated yet.

bristen Aug 30, 2008 03:18 PM

according to Tom, this is a "Super Special" x Mojave...

Maybe he is saying that the posted snake is a super special and also a mojave. I would only use “X” for a breeding but others use it for combos too.

I didn't think Tom had any super specials before this year to have used for breeding. So perhaps this breeding was crystal (aka special plus mojave) to special. If special and mojave aren't alleles then this could produce a homozygous special that is also mojave but if they are alleles then the crystal couldn't pass both mutations and this would likely be a homozygous special.

Is it me or can you guys see the face of Jesus on the head in the second picture of the super (the close-up)? I can get us on Leno with this Tom...or since a grilled cheese sandwich with the face of Jesus on it sold for $64,000.00 on EBAY...I can probably get you/us about $250,000.00 for that snake! Think about it and we'll do lunch

BTW...very nice!

Matt , your right I see the faint image as well.. The bottom of his mouth is hard to make out , but the eyes, nose , face and hair are easy to see if you look close... I thought I studied details to much until I read your post , good eye on that one man! It really is pretty incredible once you spot it... Anthony McCain...

Rasputin!
Don't you see the beard? hehehe
A blurry image on a snake's head, potato chip, or mold on the wall can often portray several strangely idolized imaginary things:
From Big-foot, Nessie, swamp-thing, aliens, to Elvis.
Definitely worth a trip to a talk show.. or the loony bin.
Now back to shinning laser pointers in my eye.....

Python Dreams Aug 27, 2008 09:45 AM

Since I sold the Crystals with the buyers knowing that I was not showing the "Special" side publicly, I will wait for one of them to do so when they are ready.
Should be soon...
