My area didn't get hit too bad by the storm. Just a little rain, some moderate wind. But lightning did strike my computer monitor, so I had to replace it. But, now I have a 24 inch flatscreen. I mentioned a few times that I work doing lawn care. Some of the areas that I work in were hit pretty bad. In north Florida, I was removing some fallen trees at my worksite, and I found three baby eastern cottontail rabbits. I took them home, so now I'm feeding them every few hours, coming home on break, and at lunch to get them fed. They're almost ready to be weaned maybe a week or so. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them. I love rabbits, I've kept them before, but I'm not that familiar with eastern cottontails, but if they can be somewhat like domestic rabbits(litter-trainable, easy going), I'll probably keep them.

Nah, I wouldn't feed them to the burm, he gets f/t food. They are actually very sweet rabbits, even though they're wild, and I expected them to be a little more warry. They're a little more active than my last rabbits, but maybe that's just typical of eastern cottontails, I don't know. I know lionheads are more naturally active than French lops are, but of course French lops are more like a big fat cat(to a point).

I personally have not ever tried to deal w/ wild rabbits, but I have heard they can be difficult and are not at all like domisticated rabbits. Also wild rabbit mothers actually only feed their babies twice a day!

There are some people here that have had more experience and could help you:

I read on the subject of keeping wild rabbits, and it said they aren't usually as tame as domestic ones. I'll see how it goes with these ones. My domestic ones loved to sit on my lap on the couch, and these guys are actually loving it too, so that's a good sign.
