breeding aggresive females

gbpython Aug 27, 2008 02:32 PM

I have recently aguired a captive bred 2000 gram female ball python. She arrived underweight and aggresive. I have had her for about 3 and a half months. She is now settled in, very healthy and well taken care of but still hisses and strikes at me occasionally.

My first question is does anyone think she will lose her aggresiveness?

I also have a 1000 gram male pastel. I would like to know if it would be safe to put him in with her for breeding during breeding season? Does anyone think she will bite or strike him when she sees him?

I doubt she'll hurt your male. I have a girl who has a similar temperment and she's actually calmer when she's with another ball python.
