New pick up.....

Jeremy Pierce Aug 27, 2008 03:22 PM

I finally got a chance to check in and saw everyones new purchases from Daytona. All look great. It was awesome to finally put some faces to the names I've known for so many years now. Had a great time hanging out with old friends and seeing some sweet animals!
Here is one of my purchases. It is a red bull that I picked up from KJ. His pattern is really different. He was in blue when I picked him up but shed the day we got home and the contrast on him is beautiful.
Take care everyone!

Not sure if KJ likes the name someone tagged his red bulls with but I like it. At any rate, I picked up a red bull from him this year and you can't believe how they change with each shed. Heck they almost seem to change each day. I received my animal and thought "it's nice but not really THAT red". Now around 4-6 weeks later and 2 sheds, that thing is already orange. VERY noticeable change in coloration.

In short, I am pleased as always with KJ's stock and what a beauty. BTW, I like the pattern on yours also.

Hey Daryl,

I actually got to meet the elusive Mr. Lodrigue, Jr. in person at Daytona. What a great guy. One of these days we'll have to cross paths at some big snake show.

Well, I am not sure if I just congratulate you or console you on meeting KJ, lol. He is a good guy and from what Iunderstand he and Don had a heck of a weekend but Kasi is the true trooper of the group.

I will be going to Daytona next year, finally talked the boss (wife) into it. I hope you can be there again next year along with many other people I would like to meet face to face.

How are the Ruthveni? Send me an update from time to time

Later bud

You KNOW I have a smartbutt comment to that, but I'm still too tired to make it......lol. Yeah, Kasi and Kiii are definitely the troopers. I just had to drive, lift, load, run, and worry. Well, Kasi just laid there. Lazy woman.......lol. I'm just glad to be back home!

I really enjoyed our conversation, Dave. I just wish things would have went better so that I would have had more time to talk. Since I was in the hospital all day Friday and Saturday morning, it made the time I was there REALLY hectic as I attempted to do Friday's work Saturday and Saturday's stuff Sunday. Sunday's duties never got done.....lol.

I am not sure if this is the line but I know that KJ was calling one group "Tiger Bulls" I would guess it is those as the markings are really clean.

Hey John:

The Tigers have really high blotch counts (up to 118 body blotches so far). Those are just some of the regular reds that I produce. The "round" blotch look (which is how I think about it since they look like circles one a CLEAN background to me) is in there, but I haven't had the space to bother developing it further. I also produce a fair number with partial tail striping. Again, no room to develop that look, either.

Later, bud!

Glad it is turning out red. The Mom to that one is #69....if you've heard the talk about her on other forums. On the name, I'm not sure who started it, but it always makes me think of boiled crawfish......lol.

Off topic, but I'm planning to breed that Christmas Mountain male to a Lajitas female in a few months. Not true locality, but I may never get a matched female with the new Texas laws. This may be as good as it gets. Still want a pair off that male?

Yes I would still like to get a pair from that project. That female is probably one of the nicest "normal animals I have seen in pits.

Camby Sep 05, 2008 09:24 PM

I menat to say male not female. Any chance Rob can legally get you one?

KJUN Sep 06, 2008 05:51 AM

Unlikely. Unless you own land and live on it down there, I don't see much of a chance of anyone coming up with a legal one.

yeah, i'll say! that almost looks like a baby anaconda. pretty cool jeremy......

KJUN Sep 02, 2008 09:29 AM

Ditto on getting to meet you face-to-face! It was a blast. As with everyone else, I just wish I had MORE time to visit.

Sorry that I didn't have any more females or really red ones left, but I'm glad you like his color. I wish I would have had that pattern in the RED ones for you, but that one should turn out to be an average "Crumbly" in coloration....at least. Fingers crossed.

Holler at me in a month or two if you want me to keep an eye out for a female with a similar pattern for you in 2009.
