Regurges are extremely smelly.
My snakes usually have regurge problems when they are too hot.
Or, too large a meal. Or, a rodent that isn't that fresh -- has already begun to decompose internally.
My understanding is -- regurges most frequently occur when the food item putrefies in the gut faster than it is being digested. The putrefaction produces gas. That gas just couldn't be good for the snake.
Make sure your snake is well hydrated. Wait 2 weeks as mentioned and smaller meal next time as mentioned.
