Future Axantic Pinstripes......

ExecutiveReptiles Aug 27, 2008 11:04 PM

Well I am bored...so I checked a couple of hides and found our new Axanthic that we got from Ryan Young at Inland Reptile had shed, so I thought I would snap a pic of him with one of his future mates...and share a couple of pics...You almost have to take a picture of an Axanthic next to something else to really get a feel for how they look, they seem pretty hard to photograph...anway...

Axanthic Pinstripes anyone? I can't wait...

We saw our first Axantic Pinstripe at the NARBC show in Tinley Park, Chicago, last year and I new the first time I laid eyes on it, that we someday had to make our own, and now we have the ingrediants to do just that.

Here is a pic I took at the BHB booth in Tinley last year (I beleive they first revealed it at that show)...this thing was unreal in person...it was like a grey plastic fake looking snake...for those of you who are into ball pythons, it was pretty cool...at least for me it was....I really liked the looks of it. I am not sure what line of Axanthic they used, but at the Daytona show this last weekend I saw a good sized VPI Axanthic Spider and it was AWSOME...still had that baby grey look, it had not browned out at all...which was super cool to see...I wish we could see pics of the Axanthic Pinstripe..now..and see what it looks like...that would be cool..

Those are some really nice pics. I especially like the side-by-side head shots!

I love the axanthic combos. This axanthic pinstripe is hot. Best wishes with your project!

While at the Daytona show this last weekend there was a vendor who had a VPI Axanthic Pinstripe, and it was a pretty good sized juvie, I would guess in the 400-600 gram level, it was totally grey, just like you would expect a hatchling Axanthic Spider to look like, I was blown away how nice it still looked, I have to say VPI Axanthics are hands down the best Axanthics for Combos....I love how stark grey they stay.

I was hoping someone would have snapped a picture of it, I got a good video clip of it, but I am still working on getting the video together....Hopefully I will have it done by this weekend, it truely was the best Axanthic Combo there at the show...
