update from "that guy"

nate351 Aug 28, 2008 12:54 PM

I just checked my incubator, and another snake has pipped and had its head out. I gently cut the shell to expose the pattern, and it looks exactly like the one that is already out. Whatever the case, I will be interested to see the whole clutch and watch them shed.

Like Jared said in the first post, normals.
Very likely to be normals. Pigment comes in later.
A couple of years ago I had a black, gray, and white hatchling staring at me when I cut the egg. By the time it came out it had colored up. It was very similar to your snake. Eventually color came in all the way.
It sure was exciting for a few days! (LOL)

Just a variation of normal pigment.
Here are 2 siblings right out of the egg. Both hatched the same day.

Now here they are after the first shed.

One is still lighter than the other but not as dramatic as when they first hatched.

You will probably end up with some nice light animals after they shed.

I'm leaning more in the direction that others have taken so far as well... likely normals, but keep them for a while... let them have a few sheds and you'll quickly see if anything is going on.

Good luck!
Bristen.
