Hi, ALL. I have a male snow S.D.Gopher that I was going to breed to a stiped albino S.D. (that I lost). I would like your opinion on what you think I should try to find and breed. I am leaning towards an Applegate. THANKS for you opinion !!! JEFF P.S. This is for next year and I'm haveing a hard time finding a girl with some age and some size.

if i were you id get what ever kind of sd. gopher you can find. in this time of year i have never really found any breedable snake for sale, i have seen snakes that were old enough it just so happens they arent the kind i am looking for. i hope you find one so you can breed your snakes, i think the whole breeding process from november to egg laying to hatch time is one of the most wonderful things i have experianced in the world. once again good luk and let us know if you find anything!

From what I was told a long time ago the Snows have the Bechtel Albino gene not the Applegate. If this is true in the case of your male then if you breed him with the Applegate you would get all normal babys that are triple hets. If I were you I would get another Snow, or if you want an Albino get a Bechtel strain that's het for Anery, or an Anery that's het for Albino.
