True Ghost Bull

snarla67 Aug 29, 2008 01:08 AM

After having posting what I thought was a true ghost bull, a few weeks ago not ever having seen one I was incorrect. I was lucky to have had another clutch and now it is so obvious that I did not produce one in the first clutch. I believe it to be an axanthic, it looks so different from the axanthic produced from the Miami co. Kansas locality ones that it puzzled me into believing that it was a true ghost. When the second clutch was hatching I knew I got a true ghost for sure. It was a very small clutch of just 5 eggs and I got the true ghost a female, a hypo, and three possible triple hets. There is a lot of variation even in the triple hets from this clutch to the first clutch.

Enjoy!

It really seems to me like I say this every time I see a clutch, but I am impressed by the "normals". They are very nice looking!
