Got these guys today: "White-Face Brooks" NOW... i have some thoughts/working theories on these, but things get toooo out of control on this forum, so I'll wait until i breed these, before i make any official claims/theories etc... but i will say they are AWEOME!!!!

Congrats on the white phase. I am going to assume you got them from the Bells. This year I noticed the Bells were selling 'normal'white phase brooks (what you got) as well as the hypo version which they have supplied in previous years. I don't recall them offering normal phase "white phase" before. They also went up on price A LOT and changed the name from white lip to white phase! Hmmmmm, sounds like the Florida kings are getting more attention . Which is a good thing.

So what is you take on these? I would guess they are a whiter phenotype and when mixed with the hypo trait they come out lighter. But if you have an interesting perspective on these I would like to hear it.

They must have outcrossed some of their hypos to other lines to get those white normals. Maybe that is why they never offerred the normals for sale before?

table #184 DAYTONA EXPO

You know - Rana draytonii use to be Rana aurora draytonii because they look extremely similar to Rana aurora (what use to be Rana aurora aurora) it turns out that Rana aurora is closer to Rana cascadae than it is to Rana draytonii.
