I have spent the past two months getting rid of snakes to make life easier but I had to hold this little girl back(shown with a more normal colored litter mate). I probably would not call the above pictured snake or my hold back hypo-melanistic animals in the truest sense of the word but I absolutely could not resist holding her back to see what she develops into. I hope she keeps the cinnamon like color to her markings and passes it on to her offspring! One of my adult snakes looks like the hold back pictured above, very faded and pale but it is my experience that there is a range from animals with really black markings to those with much less contrast. How nice it is to finally see lineaticollis common in the pet trade!
