evacuation!!

kingsnake1 Aug 29, 2008 11:55 PM

Here I go again...packing all my snakes, dogs, cats and family to evacuate for another hurricane. Katrina beat us up pretty bad in 2005, now Gustav is heading our way. Looks like we will have mandatory evacuation 6:00AM Sunday if nothing changes. Wish us luck!

I might not be to far behind you if it moves east any. We stayed for Ivan, which was one mile shy of being a cat 4. We will not do that again. Go luck to you and stay safe.

Thanks for all your good thoughts. I decided at the last minute to forego the mandatory evacuation , and Gustav stayed to the east. So far not even a drop of rain. Now predictions call for 50-60 mph winds here and considerable rain, but that is no problem. We will just hang around, watching the wind and rain that is still coming, and pray for folks to my east. Thanks again !

Us as well. Really not to much to speak of. Here is a vid from this morning, and even as I type, hubby is washing the car.....go figure.
