well, I used some of your suggestions and made some improvements to my wc copperheads cage. I had been holding off on trying to feed him again until he went through this shed cycle. Well lastnight he finally shed so on my way home from work this morning I stopped by and got a live mouse. All I have here are frozen and I had numerous failed attempts at him taking a f/t so I figured what the heck why not try a live one again. I dropped the mouse in the cage and in no time he hit it. He scarfed it down without hesitation. I just wanted to say thanks for the tips on the cage. I am so relieved.
Another question for ya. How far is your facility from St. Elmo? I'm gonna be there next month for a family reunion and if it's not too bad of a drive I'm gonna take an extra day and come check out your place.
Thanks again

Anthony

I'm glad to hear things went well...sounds like your copperhead will be off to the races and you shouldn't have any future problems. Sometimes making small changes pays big dividends. St. Elmo....boy, you must be quite a ways because I have never heard of that town. We are about 35 miles straight north of Chicago.

well I looked at an Illinois map and you are about 300 miles from St. Elmo. It's in the southern part. I'm hoping I can take an extra day and come check out your place.

That's definitely a cruise! I would recommend trying to double up some other side trips like some of our area zoos so you can see lots of herps. Just make sure you call me before you come as we will be closed on a few occasions (847.615.4388)...email is better though.

Thanks for the info, I might just try to do that. Well, hopefully I'll be there sometime next month. Looking forward to it!
