50% Hogg island blood boas

kirby Aug 30, 2008 10:20 AM

Here is one of the blood boas that I produced this year. In 05 I bred a pure blood boa with a Hogg island boa to make 50% Hogg island hets for blood boa. I bred a brother and sister this year and produced some very colorfull blood boas. This is one of the darker bloods. The lighter ones are in shed and I will take pices of them in a few days. I did this breeding to try to make bloods that stay red as adults do to the natural hypomelanism of the Hogg island boas. Time will tell bu they look good so far.

We're not worthy! Haha, I can't wait to see those mature. Great idea mixin the hogg w/ a blood, cause that's what everyone complains about (bloods losing color w/ age). You'll have to post comparison shots of these when they get older w/ older bloods. I don't think Ive really seen a blood over a year or two though, would love to see some pics. Keep up the good pairings! cheers

Jack
