My Juvie

Ok, so she stopped eating crickets, would eat supers...
Last night, I went to bed early, an hour before lights out.
I woke up today to, half digested worms. My only guess is she puked it up.
Interesting enough however, today already she has eaten some 30-40 crickets.

Why did she puke?

Why is she now accepting crickets again?

I will not give her more supers until I think she is a more appropriate size.

This morning I reworked the cages to address one of BDLvrs comments about my MVB, I have cut a hole in the top of their cage and raised the lights by 4 or 5 inches, now about 18-20" is the avg hight of the lights.

Thanks

Usually, when they are too cold they will puke. At least that is what I have experienced. The temperature in the cage probably drop a bit when you weren't paying attention while you were asleep. This is pretty common.

Another reason may be she ate more than she should and the worms are pretty hard to digest compared to crickets and so she threw some of it up, what she couldn't digest properly. I had a fence lizard that gobble up a pretty large cricket with thick wings and the next morning I found the remain of the cricket that he had regurgitated during the night. So after that, I would pinch the back legs off and pull the tough wings off and I had no problem after that.

Supers take a long time to die, even when their chewed pretty well. I only feed my adults about 10 a day max. I wouldn't feed more than that at a time. I'd do multiple feedings. I bet they were still wiggling around in her. lol.
