Hello,
I don't normally post here, but thought you might like to see
this guy. I found him on the road, he's a real beauty. Really colorful head. After I show him to my kids he will be released
back into the wild.
Thanks,
Ed

Beautiful indeed.
Very nice looking-just like the black plastrons we have here in southern Indiana

Very nice, your will power is strong!!! I would like to think that if they were native to my state that I would do the same, but I know there would be a devil sitting on my right shoulder and an angel on my left shoulder, both whispering in my ear, as gorgeous as that guy is. Just went field herping this morning with my camera, found a toad, crayfish, western painted turtles, snapping turtles, a school of baby bullhead catfish, but unfortunately no snakes to photograph, and it was almost impossible to get a good picture of the turtles because they wouldn't let me get very close.

Wow, that's a really nice one! Box turtles aren't native to my part of the state of Ohio, but I sure do enjoy finding them while field herping in the areas where they do occur.

Real beautiful! I get a good feeling every time I see a wild box turtle. I can't see Florida box turtles too often around here, but then again, I live in the city. I do lawn care, and every once in a while, when I have to go out to Myakka City, I'll see a Florida box turtle.
