Came Home to These!!

latin1956 Aug 30, 2008 08:45 PM

My wife and I went to Leadville, Colorado Friday and came home this evening and found these Hypos and Anerys. The Hypo clutch is an 8 egg one, but I saw some twins. Here are some pictures of my trip and the snakes.

This is Twin Lake, Colorado. It was an awesome sight. We were at about 10500ft.

In Leadville going on a train ride. This is my wife.

Short break so we can overlook the valley in Leadville

Hypos

Anery,
These are from a female that after 3 years I got some good eggs. She reabsorbed the eggs the last 2 years.

Hi Rob,

Yes it was a peaceful and relaxing trip. Just one day. Went to a local Brewery and the girl made the best Long Island Ice Tea. I had just one and I was feeling really good. Maybe it was the altitude. LOL Yes the Hypos that have come out were 7 but I have 3 eggs still and one of them I can see 2 heads peeping out. Remember I had 8 eggs total and 7 have already come out, so that means 3 were twins.

Thanks for the shots from home Thomas! Man those peaks really used to hold more snow... as I recall anyhow. Took the girlfriend out there a couple years back in the beginning of June.... drove her up over Independence Pass (with a late season snow) and down into Aspen... man I miss being out there!

Very sweet clutch as well... nothing like heading out for a day in the mountains and coming home to a clutch hatching out!! Well done and thanks again for the pics!

Glad to be able to share a little bit from home. I love Colorado! If I had my way I would retire here. But the wife does not like it here and she is from here!! Go figure! she does not like the cold.
