Triple het clutch, all hatched out !!!

boxienuts Aug 31, 2008 11:17 AM

Well, the clutch from my het amel, carmel, stripe x same, have all hatched out as of this evening 100%, 11 for 11 big healthy hatchlings.
Ended up with:
2 normals
4 nomal stripes
2 carmel stripes
1 carmel
1 amelanistic
1 butter
I am super pleased and thankfully blessed with his clutch, because this clutch smashed the odds if you do the math, especially the stripes, although it would have been nice if one of those stripes would have been an amel stripe, but who's complaining? sure not me. The only other thing this clutch is missing is a butter stripe, but that was a 1/64, so wasn't realistically counting on that happening but I still dreamed about it right up until the last one hatched
I will try to post a group photo of the litter after they all shed, as some are already blue and I am sure they will look a little different after their first shed.
It's been a way too fun roller coster ride, but now I can sit back and look at them and smile a bit but not too much, until they all eat their first meal, I have extra small 1 day old pinkies, but wish me luck with all that!

Those are very cool - I especially like the striped ones.
I'd be very pleased with that clutch too.

Thanks Tim, are the normal stripes usually that variable in color?

Thanks Jimmy it was a fun one to watch, a new surprise daily all last week.
You've probably been asked this a million times, hope you don't mind me asking and if it's not my business that is fine too, but is Draybar your nickname and what does it mean and were does it come from? Just curious.
Thanks again for the feedback.

Let me start by saying I am NOT a devil worshipper....LOL

I played AD&D for several years and one of my characters was a ranger I named Draybar. I just liked the name so started using it on the web.
Back when I first got on the internet people used to always say.."don't use your own name" ..so I decided to use Draybar and it has just stayed with me.

Lol, That's cool. I know what you mean about not using your real name, at first I didn't but then I decided, you know if I can't post with my name behind it why even bother, you know what I mean? Not meaning to disrespect anyone who doesn't use their name, everyone is entitled to their own oppinion about how they post and what they are comfortable with. I just figured if I am going to be here and make friends and acquaintances, business relations ect. may as well put my cards, oppinions, name, and reputation on the table, and keep it as real and honest as possible.

I have thought many times about using only my real name but there are a lot of people that know me by Draybar and have heard of Draybar's Snakes but wouldn't know Jimmy Johnson from nothing.
But, that's kind of what my signature is for...it does help to get my name recognised.
I do use my real name on a couple of forums.

Dude, you should be proud of those!!

I think I remember you saying that this was your first clutch ever???

If that is the case and with a 100% hatch and with what you've hatched..WOW!!

I've been breeding corns for a few years now and you've got me beat hands down. This is super impressive.

Damn good job!

Congrats on the clutch! I produced some quad hets (Butter X Ghost- amel, carmel, hypo, anery) this year and am really looking forward to breeding these in a couple years. It will be a fun clutch to watch hatch, like opening a box of chocolates! Nice animals, and better luck on the striped butter next year!

Oh man, lots of possibilities, that will be a fun one, yeah like a box of chocolates only you don't have to spit any out and throw them away, lol
