Gettin redy 4 hurricane, advice needed

ronald_durst Aug 31, 2008 03:51 PM

Stinkin hurricane is coming so im preppin my snakes. i need some advice with a hide. I have 2 red tails in one cage. They are about 1.5ft to 2ft long. Caging together is only temp. ive provided several different hides for them and they will not go into any of them except for this one log. Its a whole log made for reptiles. Completely round not half and not made of wood. Its about 3 inches around and maybe a foot long. they both get in there and it kinda scares me that it might be too much snake for one hide. They wont stay in any other hide. Are they gonna suffocate each other? Should i be worrying about this? Thanks

where you live?

I'm pretty much ready with my snakes and inverts.

Living on the Mississippi gulf coast we shouldnt catch THAT much of the storm.

To answer your question. I dont think it would really be too much of a problem. You could always just take it out and they would have to choose another hide.

i live in denham springs, la.

When i take the log out they just take a corner and stay there.

What if you can't get back to your place in a while because of
flooding.

Is one of the boas big enough to eat the other one?

It's almost never a good idea to house them together...
