Pyros are great to keep and in my opinion quite easy to keep/breed as other snakes.

I have lpp and lpk2. My personal findings in what they can be a little bit diff than my other kings (Ltc, Pastels and Lra) :

1) like to climb more than others

2) better handling, they will coil around your hand more than others

3) very calm and peacefull (except in feeding time of course)

4) brumation in colder temp

5) like moistured and colder places more than the others

6) sometimes skip food for weeks

In fact almost all these things are connected with fact that they are mnts kings

In my experience, they are great animals. Some people have them "shut down" for a period in the fall/winter where they stopp feeding. If I still have young'n's at that time, I will often "cool" them along with my adults. In the spring they go all-out and feed very well after that.
If I want to put size on them however, I will continue to feed them through the winter. Most times I don't have a problem.
Just hatched a few last week.
Beautiful alert animals that have that extra "something" with the colors.
If you like to set up a display animal, I can think of none better to do so with.
