Question about boa morph combo?

VolcomHerp Sep 01, 2008 07:16 PM

Not saying this is a good idea for the next new thing. But could a breeding trail between a pair of Double Het boa's being het for square tail and leopard be capable of producing a boa displaying both traits at once square tail and leopard? Would the super motley form cancel the leopard morph out, or would the leopard morph share parts with motley super form. Sorry if this sounds goofy my first time talking about morph on the forums. thanks for hearing my 2 cents about this. Take Care and congrats on all the recent litters this year to everybody producing jaw dropping stuff.
Regards,
JAKE

Yes it is possible to make a leopard squaretail from a DHxDH pairing. Remember that a het leopard to a het leopard makes 25% leopards and a het ST to a het ST will produce 25% square tails. The odds of the stars lining up and getting a leopard squaretail from a pair of double het leopard squaretails is one in sixteen. My opinion is that a super motley leopard boa will be hard to distinguish from a super motley(maybe a little darker with odd eye color though) But a motley leopard and hypo motley leopard arent far from being produced and might be nifty looking. Hope this helped - Kyle
