Zoo-Med for hatchling desert ornate

bonomoc08 Sep 02, 2008 04:14 PM

Would it be okay to feed Zoo Med aquatic turtle food to my hatchling desert ornate? I've heard from other keepers that it's okay, but I thought that it would be too high in protien. Thanks in advance!

I have tried to feed that brand to my box turtles, hatchling to adult. Nobody ever eats it! Reptomin is the gold standard, and I have also gotten them to take mazuri and wardley with regularity.

I see no reason why you shouldn't feed it to your box turtle. Let us know how it goes.

hatchling desert with a turtleneck...haha, get it, turtleneck!?
