Feedback on the Vision Boa Racks?

EricIvins Sep 02, 2008 07:48 PM

Anyone have any feedback on the Vision Boa racks? My main concern is the Boas over 6ft. I played with one at Daytona for a few minutes, but I really didn't have time to sit their and ponder things like I wanted too.....

I have one for my adult Panamanians and it works ok, but they are not my favorite or ideal enclosure system. As for functionality......they do hold temp and humidity well and they are very spacious..

I am not a fan of the aesthetics of these racks........and in all honesty will be selling this one to go to a freedom breeder system.......I am also not fan at all of VISIONS customer service......or lack there of.

Just my opinions.

They definitely aren't heavy duty and for what you would spend on the vision for just a little more you could get a ARS which is made of high grade steel. They make a 6 tub rack that holds the same tubs as the vision and you don't have to worry about leaning on it and breaking it. Too much flimsy plastic on the vision rack for me.

I got a boa rack in a few weeks ago. Harder to set up than the other two Vision racks I have, but still not that hard. After giving in a few days after assembling it I retightened the bolts and it very sturdy. One of my sons even climbed it (he did get in trouble). I’m quarantining some new babies in the tubs right now, but once I move them out I’m going to put in some bigger boas. The actual floor space is slightly bigger than a Vision 332. Most male should do fine in these tubs. Heating Vision tubs in what I like best about the set up and the reason I didn’t go with ARS for these tubs.

A quick note about customer service - one of my tubs arrived with a crack. Getting a new tub for free was no problem. I still cannot figure out how the carrier managed to damage one of the tubs - they are tough.

Just my experiences with Vision.

Take Care,
