07 Abbotts Pair...............OT

APLAXAR Sep 03, 2008 07:56 AM

Hey Gang i just wanted to share the only other type of snake I keep besides Thayeri. This is my )7 pair of Abbotts Okeetee Corns. I really dig these guys. Having them from almost black babies and watch them turn into this in a little over a years time has been awesome to witness. and the best part about these guys is they are Pure, they are not het for anything. so year after year you can produce beautiful natural snakes, Dont get me wrong though, i do like some corn morphs.

you are on the list, well you officially started the list for Okee babies in '10, i am going to cycle them this year though and we will see how much the female grows after they are brought out, but i am not pushing or rushing anything with these guys, they are too nice to chance it, but my year for them is 2010

Here is a pic of my only albino i kept from my 2006 clutch, he was the runt

Hi Folks,
Although I have mostly thayeri now, I couldn't part with this guy because he's just so big and impressive. The picture is about a year and a half old. He’s larger now, and his colors are pretty much the same except that they have taken on a slightly burnished tone. Last spring he was bred multiple times to a pretty but somewhat less spectacular female Abbotts, but she produced a clutch of 23 duds (don't ya just hate it when that happens?). I'm going to hold onto him and breed him next year to the same female and also to a whopping female amel corn who has laid fertile eggs in the past. I hope I can preserve some of his DNA!
