Tortoise Tubs

beccadvorak Sep 05, 2003 09:17 AM

Hi all,

I've been thinking about setting up a large Vision tortoise tub for some of my star hatchlings. I would love to see any pictures you might share on how you've set up these types of enclosures. My biggest concern with them has always been drafts--how do you mitigate that risk?

Thanks,

Becca

Drafts from where? You want them to have good clean air, thats why aquariums are poor choices, not enough air circulation. You can build the equivalent of a tortoise tub yourself out of plywood coated with epoxy.

Hi Becca,
I use Vision tubs.Unfortunatly I don't have them setup because it's not cold here. So needless to say I can't post a pic. I would recomend them. they are easy to clean and very lightweight.
Good Luck,
CW
