enigma question

Leo_Lover07 Sep 04, 2008 02:22 PM

I plan on breeding my male red-eyed tangerine bell enigma to my extreme tangerine rainbow emerald. Two questions, half the clutch will end up enigma but will some of the females coloration make its way into the enigma hatchlings? Will some of his color make it into the emerald babies? One more question, he doesn't show any drastic genetic signs of the enigma morph. But when he's extremely nervous he spins once or twice then stops. Its not repetative and ive only seen it twice. If this behavoir is genetic will it make its way into all the enigma hatchlings or just some? Thanks.

from all that I have researched the spinning thing may or may not show in the babies, being that it is a negative genetic trait most likely caused because of the line breeding required to get the enigma. The one positive thing is that you are breaking the line breeding process for now anyways and allowing new genetics to enter into the gene pool. This would hopefully offset the negative effects and also give you the benefit of some good looking babies. Sorry I wouldnt even want to guess what the babies main traits would be, other then they will definetly be het for something
