Thanks John, :0) I take some bath time photos because sometimes I have a bunch of lizards all in one tub looks crazy, hehehe, ( they are already washed and dryed but waiting for their cages to be cleaned and ready!
I had a bad year last year after I was sent some lizards that were harboring the dreaded snake mites, I had used some OTC mite spray on the newcomers and thought all was peachy,
About 2 months later I found my entire reptile room/ collection had them, it was a MASSIVE undertaking as I not only have many many lizards , different species, but I had some that free roamed as well which meant the entire room had to be dismantled and treated. Anyway it took many months.
Now my practices and my keeping methods have changed drastically. Cage cleaning/ and washing/ checking of EACH lizard weekly. Especially when new wild caughts come in, even though they are seperate, I'm very watchful of everyone. Very disiplined in cleaning/ checking.
*** A little CAUTION and Extra TIME, saves LIVES and and My SANITY.
As far as your question, lizards absorb "some" water I have heard, but not really enough to keep them really hydrated, that must be done through getting most of the liquids INTO them via mouth. Otherwords not like frogs. I have never misted any of my collareds in over 10 years as far as to hydrate them. ONLY do it if I see them shedding a large hunk of skin , I will mist to help them get it off faster.
