Name of the Pastel Fire

AnthonyB Sep 05, 2008 03:50 AM

A few years back, Brandon Boeke (Priceless Pythons) produced the first Pastel x Fire cross and I believe he said he was calling it the Nova.

Now, I see Pastel x Fire crosses going by the name of the "FireFly".

Any thoughts on this?

How are they different lines? Different line of pastel?

I'm not sure if it's different lines or a case of who came up with it first. I know that Mike Wilbanks of Constrictors Unlimited called the cross the firefly.

a pastel is a pastel regardless who has it.

different breeders that imported in pastels years ago named them "xxxx" pastel to distinguish that the particular pastel came from their stock.

lemon pastel
blonde pastel
graziani pastel

all the same thing. their are good specimens and there are bad specimens.

hope that makes sense to you.

When I posted them for the first time, I called them "Nova's", and I wanted the first superpastel fires to be called "SuperNova's". Soon after, a friend told me of a better name, I chose that one for the good of the morph.......Fireflies for pastel fires, and I'm hoping the superpastel fires will be "Superflies"! I went online and told everyone the change in name, but some missed that post.......sorry for the mixup everybody......
