opinions on hog coloration needed

rptlqueen Sep 06, 2008 07:36 PM

I got this guy last year. He was in a group of normal hognoses but he really stood out to me. His parents were normal. He has a light gray background color with greenish gray blotches. His ventrals are black and white with a very pale yellow on his anal plates. I expected his color to darken as he got older but he just gets nicer looking with every shed. Any opinions or anyone else have one like this?

Faded at the throat and pure white checks the rest of the way down; no yellow whatsoever.

i will try to get more pic today. Its really hard to get this guy to stay still long enough to get a good shot! I didnt think he was an anery. All the anerys I've ever seen look just like the pic you submitted. Are there any "greens" out there that are as gray as this guy? I've seen brown and green hogs but never gray and green!

Here are a couple more pics. Part of the problem with getting a crisp picture is that in order to make the file small enough to upload I have to change the pixels.
