i lost my snake for like five months and i found him like 2 days ago i got him to eat a rat like 2 hours ago and now he wont eat hsi other rat i know he has to be hungry why wont he eat he has never refused a meal in his life and ive had him for like 4 or 5 years can anybody help me

Woah, there Tex!

This guy hasn't eaten in _how_ long? One rat should do for now. Give his digestive system a break, and maybe offer the other in a few days. Sure, he needs nutrition, but his belly's probably a little shrunk. Let him settle in and loosen up a bit. I suspect that if you overload his guts, he may just regurge, and you'll be two steps back from where you are now.

Congrats on getting the guy back where he belongs!

we lost one for nearly 7 months and she ate once but we fed her smaller and only one like Bruce said. However keep a close eye on her. Ours contracted a respiratory infection soon after her return and we were told by our herp vet that being gone so long with no food and maybe even water the ball pythons immune system is going to be weakened. To be safe it it seems funny skip the forums and go right to your vet. And Congrats!!! Its a great feeling aint it.
