#8. Thanks again to Chris for allowing me to buy these animals, I am very, VERY happy! This is gonna get bad I am afraid, and I will be joining you all in therapy/rehab, but I am sure I am too weak to put a real effort into it! I learned a lot from this years' adventure and hope to be better prepared for what next year holds. I have lost three of the above clutch due to my own stupid errors but one of the three just died, I have no clue why. Two of the 5 remaining have taken there first meal, one the first day out. I wonder if waiting until shed to feed is better for them in the long run. I had no idea they were so small out of the egg. Like I said, I have a lot to learn and 12 from the other clutch of 13 from Wilma and Fred are on their 3rd and 4th meals, the last one is a holdout so far. Most of the other kings I work with are so much bigger to start out I usually don't have a problem with pinkie size, but these little ones seem to need newborn or day olds.

All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful:
The Lord God made them all.

Thank you, Michelle! Of course I could just keep 'em all, or spin the wheel!

For some reason, #6 appeals to me tremendously. I don't know why, but I just like that look. My little ones from Chris continue to be a joy to own.

It's not how many snakes you have. It's how happy and healthy you can keep them.

Thanks, John! 3 of the remaining 5 have eaten, with 2 holdouts. I know they can be difficult sometimes, I remember your old dark cup trick. I am packing the animals for my Mom's house as we speak, keep your head down, Ike looks like a big 'un.

#1,3, and 5 didn't make it. So #2,4,6,7, and 8 are still going but appears that #4 has a small kink about a third down from its' neck, so it is out of the running. All the rest look great and have had their second and third meals.

Todd,
You know if they starting getting malnourished kinks will start forming.....I've had many alterna and thayeri that would start to kink due to not eating......I've even had a couple alterna that would start eating and have no evidence of a kink after having one before starting to eat.
Too bad that some did not make it, but that is the way it goes sometimes.....
