Ummm YES !! Red x Yellow Cross!!
You get a muckie, not red and not yellow, just muck somewhere in the middle.
Mind you, I have nothing against crosses, but first you must know, Reds and yellows, are two different types of monitors. My bet is, in the future, they will be classified as different species.
If your going to cross something, I imagine the goal would be to produce something nicer in some way then the parents, which in this case it doesn't. If they did come out an improvement, then they "may" be worth more, but if they don't, they are worth less. Personally at this time, I would not purchase a cross between these two. I hope this helps. here is a shot that shows pretty well what you'll get from crossing the two monitors, compared to what you'd get if you kept it pure. these are my two red X yellow's along side my pure yellow ackie (he's at the top of the pic)

the crosses arn't anywhere close to as pretty as pure ackies (red or yellow), but they are still ackies all the same. I am actually breeding these guys right now so hopefully I'll have some eggs in the incubator soon. if I do hatch these eggs all of the offspring will be staying here with me though, I wouldn't even try to sell those babies. I don't really mind what my ackies look like, I get enough joy watching them do what they do together.
Very nice compereson picture!!!
