I'll never figure out why theres not an Ackie in every home. They are so energetic and personable and they breed like theres no tomorrow. I knew by the looks of my females that they were probably gravid but didnt pay much attention to it this time because I thought maybe, just maybe they were just bulking up from a lot of feeding....Well my doubts were laid to rest last night when I decided to separate one of the females because she hadnt been eating (aparently this was due to laying eggs all day). Upon doing this I pulled her from her burrow to find an egg. Well needless to say I pulled the burrow apart (carefully) and began to excavate the eggs. There was a total of 9 this time. Whats even more interesting than that is when I separated her it appeared she wasnt done and laid one more egg which I actually got to witness this happening. Quite impressive. She pulled her hind legs up towards her belly and then extended them as if she were doing legg press' or squats. Then "pop" out comes the egg. Cant wait to see how these beauties look. The parents are both reds and stunning at that so they should look pretty nice....
