FR Help Sex Ackies

pichereptiles Aug 20, 2006 05:26 PM

We spoke last week in the forum and I was going to take some full body shots. Well here they are. Sorry for the crappy pictures. I dont see obvious spurs on any of them. They are a year old. The 3 of them have been living together since they were 4 weeks old and everyone gets along. Any advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated. What sex are they???

Thanks

Also...Does the one in the middle in the 1st pic look gravid to you? Her(?) belly is HUGE!!!!

From the pics, they appear to be females. But the larger one, middle in the first pic, could be a he/she male. It could develop into a male at any time.

But most likely females. The course of action is the same. Get a male. If the one turns male, or any turn male, then you will have a couple pair, not a bad thing.

You see, keeping monitors is always about making decisions. Your decision is easy. Get a male. If you do not want to do this, then you will have to let the monitors run their course and hope for the best. The older they get, the less likely of you having great success. But that does not exclude good success. Cheers
