My male is pure red my female is borderline The babies look to be red but I have seen babies posted for sale that do not look as red as him???

Post pics of the tail also, entire body. This is a red,V.a.acanthurus.

This baby is only 1 month old so may be difficult. The father is a def red!

Its not he color so much, in fact its many other things about them. At hatching time, no doubt reds, see the face, the pattern, the tail, not to mention many other things.

These are about he same age (1 month), these are reds.

To me the head, pattern, and facial markings, as well other features about the body on yours say brachyurus not acanthurus.
Lets see adult male and female pics, face, head, neck, body, and tail.

Is that baby a red/yellow cross??? Looks like it could be to me...

Smaller spike size on the tail, but the lizards looked like reds, not like yellows.
Theres someone who used to sell them here a few years ago.
